In a scrap metal crushing line, dust control is an important part of the complete recycling system. During the crushing, conveying and discharging process, scrap metal, light steel scrap, paint buckets, metal cans, color steel tiles and mixed metal waste may generate dust and fine particles. The equipment shown in the customer site photo is a pulse jet baghouse dust collector. It is connected with the scrap metal crusher line through dust collection pipes and works together with the induced draft fan to collect dust from the crushing and conveying process.
This type of dust collector has a rectangular filter chamber, a bottom dust hopper, compressed air pulse cleaning system, dust collection pipes and a fan system. Dusty air enters the dust collector through the pipeline. Dust particles are captured by the filter bags inside the chamber, while cleaner air is discharged after filtration. The pulse jet cleaning system uses compressed air to clean the filter bags regularly, helping the equipment maintain stable air flow and dust collection performance.
For scrap metal crusher lines, a pulse jet baghouse dust collector is commonly used at key dust-generating points, such as the crusher feeding area, crusher outlet, conveyor transfer point and material discharge area.
