In a scrap metal crushing line, dust control is an important part of the complete recycling system. During the crushing, conveying and discharging process, scrap metal, light steel scrap, paint buckets, metal cans, color steel tiles and mixed metal waste may generate dust and fine particles. A suitable dust collector can help reduce flying dust and keep the production site cleaner.
The equipment shown in the customer site photo is a pulse jet baghouse dust collector. It is connected with the scrap metal crusher line through dust collection pipes and works together with the induced draft fan to collect dust from the crushing and conveying process.
This type of dust collector has a rectangular filter chamber, a bottom dust hopper, compressed air pulse cleaning system, dust collection pipes and a fan system. Dusty air enters the dust collector through the pipeline. Dust particles are captured by the filter bags inside the chamber, while cleaner air is discharged after filtration. The pulse jet cleaning system uses compressed air to clean the filter bags regularly, helping the equipment maintain stable air flow and dust collection performance.
For scrap metal crusher lines, a pulse jet baghouse dust collector is commonly used at key dust-generating points, such as the crusher feeding area, crusher outlet, conveyor transfer point and material discharge area. It can be used together with a scrap metal crusher, scrap steel shredder, twin shaft shredder, magnetic separator, conveyor and complete metal recycling production line.
Compared with simple dust control methods, a baghouse dust collection system is more suitable for continuous production lines. The bottom hopper collects the filtered dust, making cleaning and maintenance more convenient. The fan and pipeline system help create negative pressure around the dust source, reducing dust diffusion in the workshop.
Haoxing Machinery can design dust collection systems according to the customer’s material type, crusher model, production capacity, workshop layout and dust control requirements. Whether the customer processes light scrap metal, baled scrap metal, mixed metal scrap, scrap steel sheets or car body materials, our engineers can recommend a suitable dust collector configuration for the recycling line.
