Scrap Metal Crusher Rotor and Screen Plate Details
In a scrap metal recycling line, the scrap metal crusher is one of the key machines for reducing the size of waste metal materials. Its internal structure directly affects crushing efficiency, output size, equipment stability and long-term operating performance.

The screen plate is installed inside the crushing chamber. It has multiple round holes, which help control the final output size of crushed materials. After scrap metal is impacted and crushed by the rotating hammers, smaller particles pass through the screen holes and are discharged from the machine. Materials that are not small enough will continue to stay inside the crushing chamber for further impact and crushing.
The crushing chamber is made with heavy steel structure and wear-resistant parts. From the workshop photo, the chamber includes rows of screen holes and side protection plates. This design helps guide the material movement, protect the machine body and support continuous crushing operation.
The hammer rotor is another important part of the scrap metal crusher. The rotor carries multiple hammer heads. When the rotor runs at high speed, the hammers impact, tear and crush scrap metal materials inside the chamber. This structure is suitable for processing light scrap metal, scrap iron sheets, color steel tiles, metal cans, paint buckets, aluminum scrap and mixed metal waste.
