Single-Shaft Shredder

Haoxing Machinery's Single-Shaft Shredder is a versatile, low-speed, high-torque shear shredder designed for a broad spectrum of waste materials. The machine consists of a blade rotor shaft, stationary bed knives, robust housing, feeding system, hydraulic ram, power system, and PLC electrical controls. Material is fed into the cutting chamber and steadily pushed against the rotating rotor by a hydraulic ram. The interaction between the rotor's moving blades and the stationary bed knives shears and tears the material into smaller pieces. Properly sized fragments pass through a bottom screen for discharge, while oversized material remains in the chamber for further size reduction. Renowned for its low noise, low energy consumption, and high throughput, this shredder is ideal for recycling plastics, wood, rubber, paper, textiles, and municipal solid waste.

The operational sequence of the Single-Shaft Shredder is as follows:

1. Feeding & Ram Compression: Material enters the cutting chamber via the feeding system. The hydraulic ram system, driven by a hydraulic cylinder, continuously and smoothly pushes material against the rotating rotor, ensuring consistent contact between feedstock and blades.

2. Shear Shredding: Stationary bed knives are fixed to the housing, while rotary blades are mounted on the main shaft. Driven by a motor and heavy-duty gear reducer, the rotor turns at low speed, creating a shearing action with the bed knives that tears and breaks down the material.

3. Screening & Discharge: Shredded material falls through a bottom screen mesh. Screen hole diameter is adjustable, allowing output particle size as fine as 20mm. Oversized material is retained in the chamber for continued processing.

4. Automated Control: A PLC control system intelligently manages ram speed, rotor RPM, and other parameters, ensuring stable, efficient operation.

1. Durable Blades, Low Maintenance Cost
   Rotary blades are manufactured from premium cold work die steel, offering high strength, toughness, and cutting performance. Each blade features four cutting edges and can be rotated 90° for extended use. Bed knife position is adjustable to maintain optimal cutting clearance. Blades are mounted in a "V" pattern for uniform cutting, reduced energy consumption, and lower noise.

   Equipped with a hardened surface gear reducer, the system delivers high transmission efficiency, robust load capacity, smooth operation, and low noise, providing reliable power for low-speed, high-torque shearing.

3. Hydraulic Ram System, Adjustable & Powerful
   A two-speed hydraulic system drives the ram, offering smooth, adjustable feed speed and uniform, powerful pushing force. Replaceable and adjustable ram guide bars and blocks ensure stable ram movement and chamber sealing. An air-cooling system maintains hydraulic system performance during extended operation.

4. External Bearing Design, Extended Service Life
   Bearings feature an external, sealed design that effectively prevents water and dust ingress, significantly prolonging bearing life and reducing downtime.

5. Easy Screen Replacement, Adjustable Output Size
   The screen mesh is easily replaceable, allowing operators to adjust output particle size to suit downstream processing requirements.

6. Cost-Effective & Energy Efficient
   For equivalent power ratings, single-shaft shredders are generally more affordable than dual- or quad-shaft alternatives. The design maximizes the advantages of low-speed, high-torque shearing, delivering high output with minimal energy consumption.
