Project Overview

Aluminum cans are a very common beverage packaging method in daily life. They are made of materials such as aluminum alloy and iron alloy, all of which have high recycling value. However, due to their large occupied volume and low specific gravity, transportation costs are significantly increased.

Generally, the recycling of aluminum cans can be done by baling followed by secondary shredding. However, a can crusher is a more efficient way to process cans. The can crusher can directly complete the crushing and agglomerating of cans through mechanical action. The entire can crushing production line features high efficiency and low labor input. Some of the crushed material is shown in the figure above.

Composition of the can crusher production line

1. Can Crusher
   The can crusher is mainly responsible for crushing complete cans. Through the action of a screen, the particle size of the crushed cans can be adjusted.

2. Magnetic Separator
   The magnetic separator uses a magnetic field to attract iron metals, thereby separating pure iron material.

3. Eddy Current Separator
   After crushing, a magnetic separator can be used to recover iron and steel from the processed material. The remaining non-magnetic fraction can then be evaluated for eddy current separation.An eddy current separator uses electromagnetic induction to separate conductive non-ferrous metals, such as aluminum and copper, from suitable non-conductive materials such as plastic and rubber. Actual separation performance depends on particle size, material composition, feeding thickness and equipment settings.

4. Dust Removal Equipment
   During the operation of the can crusher, some dust is generated. The dust removal equipment effectively reduces the internal dust emission of the can crusher.
