630 Metal Crusher Spare Parts Shipped to South Africa

A 20ft container carrying a complete batch of spare parts for a scrap metal crusher was loaded for shipment to Durban, South Africa, on September 10, 2026.

The shipment includes a complete 630 crusher rotor, 42 hammer heads, one full set of crushing chamber liners, one full set of discharge grids, two main shaft bearings and twenty V-belts. These components will be used for planned maintenance and replacement of the customer’s existing crushing equipment.

Unlike a routine shipment of small wear parts, this order contains a complete rotor assembly. The dimensions and weight of the rotor required a separate loading and fixing arrangement inside the container.

Spare Parts Included in the Container

The complete shipment consists of:

  • One complete 630 crusher rotor

  • 42 replacement hammer heads

  • One complete set of crushing chamber liners

  • One complete set of discharge grids

  • Two main shaft bearings

  • Twenty V-belts

The order combines major replacement assemblies, crushing chamber wear parts and transmission components. Preparing these parts in one shipment allows the customer to coordinate several maintenance tasks during the same planned shutdown.

Loading the Complete Crusher Rotor

The complete rotor was loaded before the smaller packages because it was the largest and heaviest component in the order.

Before loading, the team checked the visible condition of the rotor, shaft ends, hammer installation areas and exposed mounting surfaces. Areas that could be affected by contact during transportation were protected before the rotor entered the container.

The rotor was positioned on a stable supporting surface. Its location inside the container was selected to limit sliding and movement during inland transportation, port handling and sea freight.

Suitable lifting equipment was used throughout the handling process. The loading team also kept sufficient clearance around the shaft ends to avoid direct contact with the container walls or other heavy components.

Packing the Hammer Heads

The order contains 42 hammer heads prepared for the existing 630 crushing equipment.

Hammer heads operate under repeated impact and abrasion. Their actual service life depends on several operating conditions:

  • Type and thickness of the processed scrap

  • Feeding rate

  • Rotor speed

  • Presence of hard contaminants

  • Condition of the chamber liners

  • Condition and opening size of the discharge grids

  • Balance of the hammer arrangement

Before packing, the hammer-head quantity was checked against the order. The parts were grouped and packed separately rather than being placed loosely around the rotor.

During replacement, hammer weight and installation position should be checked carefully. Significant differences in hammer weight or wear can affect rotor balance and increase vibration when the crusher returns to operation.

Crushing Chamber Liners and Discharge Grids

One full set of chamber liners and one full set of discharge grids were included in the container.

The liners protect the internal crusher structure from direct material impact and abrasion. Their condition should be inspected regularly, especially around high-impact areas and mounting positions.

The discharge grids retain material inside the chamber until the pieces can leave through the selected openings. Grid wear or deformation may change the discharge condition and allow larger pieces to pass.

Grid condition can also influence:

  • Material residence time

  • Crusher operating load

  • Continuous production capacity

  • Circulating material inside the chamber

  • Quantity of fine material

  • Stability of the discharge flow

The liner and grid sets were packed as complete groups to make quantity checking and on-site handling more convenient.

Bearings and V-Belts Packed Separately

The two main shaft bearings and twenty V-belts were not packed together with the heavy rotor and steel wear parts.

Bearings require protection against moisture, contamination and impact. V-belts also need to be kept away from sharp edges, heavy pressure and conditions that may cause deformation.

Before installing these parts, the maintenance team should check:

  • Bearing model

  • Bearing-seat condition

  • Shaft installation surface

  • Lubrication requirements

  • Pulley alignment

  • V-belt specification

  • Belt tension consistency

Where several V-belts work together as one transmission group, matched replacement helps maintain more even load distribution.

Container Loading Inspection

The loading process was completed in stages:

  1. The empty container floor and internal condition were checked.

  2. The complete rotor was lifted and positioned.

  3. The liners and grids were loaded as separate groups.

  4. The hammer-head packages were arranged around the secured heavy components.

  5. The bearing and V-belt packages were placed away from heavy steel parts.

  6. The quantities and package identification were checked.

  7. Internal supporting and fixing points were inspected.

  8. The container was checked again before the doors were closed.

This arrangement was designed to keep the main components stable while allowing smaller packages to be identified during unloading.

Preparing Spare Parts Before Planned Maintenance

Waiting until a crusher stops before ordering a major replacement assembly can result in a long and unnecessary production interruption.

For an existing scrap metal crusher, the condition of the rotor, hammer heads, liners, grids, bearings and belts should be checked as part of the maintenance schedule. Parts with a longer manufacturing or transportation period should be prepared before existing components reach their service limit.

Customers requesting replacement parts should provide:

  • Equipment model

  • Nameplate photograph

  • Existing part photographs

  • Original drawings, if available

  • Rotor and shaft dimensions

  • Hammer quantity and individual weight

  • Grid dimensions and opening size

  • Liner arrangement

  • Bearing model

  • V-belt specification

A complete rotor requires more detailed dimensional confirmation than an ordinary wear-part order.

Shipment Destination

After all components were loaded and secured, the container was closed and prepared for transportation to the port. The shipment will travel by sea to Durban, South Africa.

The coordinated supply includes the main rotor assembly, crushing chamber wear parts, shaft bearings and transmission belts required for the customer’s planned maintenance work.

Haoxing Machinery supplies replacement parts and major assemblies according to confirmed equipment models, drawings and installation dimensions.
