The photos show the typical output of our scrap aluminum shredder and eddy current separator working in tandem. After two-shaft shredding and hammer crushing, the feed material is uniformly reduced to an ideal particle size. The cross-section clearly reveals that aluminum parts have been fully liberated from plastics, rubber, copper wires and other impurities. The material then enters the eddy current separator – a high-speed rotating magnetic rotor generates an alternating magnetic field, which induces repulsive forces on non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, zinc, etc.), effectively separating them from non-conductive residues such as plastics and rubber.
As clearly seen in the pictures:
The bright white aluminum particles on the right are clean, well-shaped, and reach a purity of over 98%, ready to be directly returned to smelting as feedstock.
The remaining mixed residue on the left consists mainly of lightweight plastics, foam, and rubber, containing virtually no recoverable metals.
The entire separation process requires no water and produces no dust emissions, increasing efficiency dozens of times compared to manual sorting.
We have specialized in metal recycling equipment for over a decade. This integrated shredding + eddy current separation line has been widely used in scrap cars, end-of-life appliances, construction profiles and more. If you are looking for a high-efficiency, low-energy solution for non-ferrous metal separation, you are welcome to bring your own material for a trial run – seeing is believing!
