Wuhu Rayhoo Automotive Lightweight Technology Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rayhoo Motor Dies Co., Ltd. (SHE: 002997), a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise specializing in large-tonnage high-pressure die-casting. Rayhoo is one of the few domestic players capable of supplying both complete automotive body-in-white tooling and high-performance lightweight aluminum components under one roof.
Yet behind its busy machining lines, Rayhoo faced an unresolved headache that had quietly grown over the years: a steady accumulation of bulky, awkwardly shaped aluminum waste. On one side, the plant's successive expansion and renovation projects generated dismantled aluminum window frames, thermal-break door frames and curtain-wall panels, piled up in outdoor corners. On the other, Rayhoo's own aluminum extrusion cutting lines and bought-in automotive profiles produced a daily stream of offcuts ranging from a few centimeters to several meters long.
"These materials either eat up space or are too fluffy. The thermal-break profiles from plant demolition are huge in volume — freight alone would cost more than the scrap value. And the long, irregular offcuts from the shop floor jam the hopper constantly if you try feeding them directly into a crusher," Rayhoo's facility manager recalled.
In May 2024, the company installed a customized pre-processing package from Gongyi Haoxing Machinery. A 1250 guillotine shear takes the front-end duty, cutting both the dismantled construction aluminum and the long extrusion offcuts into uniform short lengths. A 1600 scrap aluminum crusher then reduces the sheared pieces to the ideal particle size, and a 1000 eddy current separator removes the thermal-break nylon strips, rubber gaskets and any tramp copper or iron entrapped in the shredded fraction. The three-step “shear – crush – separate” line turns multi-meter profiles and tangled offcuts into clean, furnace-ready aluminum granules in under twenty minutes.
"The guillotine shear tames the long stuff, and that keeps the crusher free from jams. The eddy current separator sweeps out every bit of plastic — the aluminum comes out so clean, and the bulk density is way higher than before. Our forklift makes half the trips to the melting deck now," the line supervisor reported.
