Henan Zhengyuan New Material Technology Co., Ltd., located in the aluminum deep-processing zone of Yongcheng Economic and Technological Development Zone, is a key provincial-level comprehensive utilization project for recycled resources in Henan Province. In August 2023, Zhengyuan commissioned a complete aluminum scrap crushing and sorting line from Gongyi Haoxing Machinery. The scope covered a model 1600 aluminum scrap crusher, a model 1200 double shaft shredder, a model 1000 eddy current separator, as well as supporting dust collection and conveying equipment. The line operates as the preprocessing stage ahead of the melting furnaces: the shredder performs primary size reduction on bulky cast aluminum and alloy offcuts, the crusher further reduces the material to an optimal furnace feed size, and the eddy current separator efficiently removes copper, zinc, and other non-ferrous metal impurities — with the dust collection system maintaining emissions well within the national Grade A standard for the secondary aluminum industry.
Since commissioning, aluminum purity into the melting furnaces has consistently exceeded 98%, readily supporting the company's annual production target of 150 000 metric tons of aluminum alloy material. The plant manager reports: “The shredding and sorting line runs in perfect sync. It handles whatever mixed scrap we feed, and the clean, uniform aluminum output saves our melting team a huge amount of hassle. The gear is tough — over a year in, and we haven't had a single breakdown.”
