Chongqing Siyuan Metal Technology Co., Ltd. – 1200 Aluminum Scrap Crusher and Eddy Current Separator Case Study

In October 2023, Chongqing Siyuan Metal Technology Co., Ltd. purchased a model 1200 aluminum scrap crusher and a matching eddy current separator from Gongyi Haoxing Machinery to upgrade the crushing and sorting stage ahead of their secondary aluminum melting operation. Siyuan Metal sources mixed aluminum scrap from across the Sichuan‑Chongqing region and neighboring provinces — a complex feed stream that often contains iron, plastic, and rubber contaminants.

The crusher reduces incoming mixed aluminum to a uniform 30–50 mm particle size, and the eddy current separator then efficiently removes non‑ferrous metal impurities such as copper, zinc, and stainless steel from the aluminum fraction. Since the line went into service, aluminum purity has consistently exceeded 98%, directly lowering the impurity level in downstream aluminum alloy ingots. Plant manager Mr. Zheng reports: “The 1200 crusher and eddy current separator work together seamlessly. Even really mixed scrap runs through without jamming, and the aluminum that comes out is clean, so our melting team saves a lot of effort. The equipment is tough and durable — it's been over a year with virtually no production downtime.”
