
Aluminum Alloy Crushing Process
Material Inspection and Preparation
Aluminum alloy scrap should be inspected before crushing. Glass, batteries, sealed components, residual oil, large steel attachments and other unsuitable materials should be removed or handled separately.
The incoming material dimensions, thickness, alloy type and attached components must remain within the feeding limits of the selected crusher.
Controlled Feeding
Prepared aluminum alloy scrap is transferred into the crushing chamber by a conveyor or suitable feeding device. The feeding rate should match the material dimensions, bulk density and crusher load.
Long, bundled or oversized material may require pre-cutting or primary shredding before hammer crushing.
Hammer Crushing
A high-speed rotor drives the hammers to repeatedly impact, deform and break the material inside the crushing chamber. Friction and compression between the hammers, liner plates and screen grate further reduce the aluminum alloy scrap.
Screen-Controlled Discharge
Material that meets the selected screen opening is discharged from the crusher, while oversized pieces remain inside for further crushing.
The actual output depends on the incoming material, hammer configuration, screen opening, feeding rate and aluminum scrap structure.
Magnetic Separation
After crushing, magnetic separation can recover exposed screws, steel inserts, hinges and other ferrous components from the aluminum-rich material stream.
Optional Screening and Material Spreading
Screening can classify different particle-size fractions and remove excessive fines. Material spreading equipment may provide more uniform feeding before subsequent sorting.
Optional Eddy Current Separation
After ferrous metal removal and suitable preparation, eddy current separation may recover conductive non-ferrous metals from appropriate non-conductive residues.
The equipment does not normally identify or separate different aluminum alloy grades. Sensor-based sorting or other specialized equipment may be required when alloy-grade separation is needed.
Optional Airflow Sorting and Dust Collection
Airflow sorting may help remove protective film, loose plastic, rubber, foam and other lightweight impurities when the material condition is suitable.
Dust collection can be configured around the crusher, screening equipment and conveyor transfer points according to the contamination level and workshop requirements.
