Recently, four senior recycling industry customers from India made a special trip to Henan Haoxing Machinery Factory (hereinafter referred to as "Haoxing Machinery") for a one-day on-site inspection and in-depth exchange regarding their focus – the scrap motor crushing and recycling processing line. The key material inspected was scrap motors, widely recognized in the recycling industry as a difficult-to-process item.
Scrap motors contain copper windings, silicon steel sheets, aluminum housings, and a small amount of plastic, giving them high metal value. However, due to their compact structure, hard shells, and tight integration of rotors and stators, conventional crushing equipment often fails to effectively liberate these materials, leading to problems such as machine stalling, tool cracking, and uneven output size – seriously affecting subsequent sorting and purification efficiency.
These overseas customers have long been engaged in the dismantling of scrap electromechanical equipment and have accumulated a large inventory of scrap motors. They urgently needed a pre-treatment line that could efficiently, safely, and with low energy consumption crush entire scrap motors and achieve full liberation of copper, iron, and aluminum. After extensive research, the customers were attracted by Haoxing Machinery's extensive experience in crushing hard materials and flew to Henan for on-site verification.
Accompanied by Manager Li from Haoxing Machinery and relevant sales managers, the customers first toured Haoxing Machinery's modern production workshop.
During the subsequent technical meeting, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the specific challenges of scrap motor processing. Manager Li from Haoxing Machinery highlighted several key technologies optimized for scrap motor crushing:
Customized rotor and hammer arrangement: To handle the integrity and toughness of motor housings, a large moment-of-inertia rotor and high-density hammer arrangement are used, ensuring that the housing is penetrated and windings are loosened in a single pass.
Intelligent anti-jamming (reverse) function: When an uncrushable item (such as a large solid motor or solid rotor) is encountered, the hydraulic system automatically reverses to discharge the material, preventing damage to core components.
Flexible screen mesh customization: Depending on the requirements of the customer's downstream sorting line, different screen mesh apertures can be configured to control output particle size between 5-8 cm, balancing liberation efficiency and throughput.
Fully enclosed conveying and dust collection: From crushing to magnetic separation conveying, a tube chain conveyor or enclosed belt conveyor is used, combined with a high-efficiency pulse dust collector, meeting the strictest environmental standards.
At present, both parties have reached a preliminary agreement on equipment model, configuration list, and delivery schedule. This visit not only demonstrated Haoxing Machinery's technical strength in crushing complex materials such as scrap motors but also further promoted Chinese-made recycling equipment into the international market.
Haoxing Machinery's specialized scrap motor crushing line is centered around large crushers of the 1800 model and 2000 model, coupled with a heavy-duty plate feeder, magnetic drum separator, eddy current separator, and pulse dust collector. It can efficiently crush and separate copper-iron mixtures from scrap motors, scrap transformers, scrap starters, and more. The equipment features large processing capacity, reasonable energy consumption, long service life of wear parts, and environmentally friendly dust-free operation. It has been running stably at multiple domestic dismantling sites and exported to countries and regions such as Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
