Tongchuan Antai Renewable Resources Recycling Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Tongchuan Antai") is an important scrap recycling and processing enterprise in Tongchuan City and surrounding areas of Shaanxi Province. The company has long focused on the recycling, sorting, and processing of scrap metals, end-of-life vehicles, waste household appliances, and other resources. Based in Tongchuan, it serves the Guanzhong Plain and even northern Shaanxi, supplying qualified furnace charges to local and surrounding steel and non-ferrous smelters.

Unlike many scrap recyclers that only handle clean industrial waste, Tongchuan Antai's raw material sources are extremely broad and complex: from scrap washing machine and refrigerator shells discarded by residents, to mixed car bodies and engine blocks from dismantled end-of-life vehicles, as well as light industrial scrap steel, aluminum alloy profiles, and domestic scrap metals with minor impurities. These materials are irregular in shape, have low bulk density, and are partly contaminated. Selling them directly to smelters not only incurs high transportation costs, but also results in poor economics due to high melt loss and low yield when using conventional shears or small crushers. These small crushers suffer from low efficiency, rapid tool wear, heavy dust generation, and safety hazards when processing such mixed materials.

To address these bottlenecks, in August 2024, Tongchuan Antai selected Henan Haoxing Machinery Factory (hereinafter "Haoxing Machinery") as its partner after on-site inspections and technical comparisons of multiple equipment suppliers. The company introduced a complete Scrap Metal Recycling Crushing Processing Line centered around an 1800-model high-efficiency scrap metal crusher. Designed for medium-to-hard and mixed scrap metals, the line covers the entire process from plate feeder, magnetic pre-sorting, 1800-model main crusher, enclosed tube chain conveyor, eddy current separator, to pulse baghouse dust collector.

Since going into operation in the fourth quarter of 2024, the line has stably processed over 50,000 tons of mixed scrap metals. Light and mixed materials that were previously difficult to handle have been efficiently converted into furnace-ready crushed material with high bulk density, uniform particle size, and good purity. These are supplied directly to local steel mills and aluminum smelters. The processing cost per ton has dropped by about 18%, while the selling price has increased by nearly 25%. This has completely bridged the key step from "low-value, hard-to-process" to "high-grade, fast-circulating" material.

On Tongchuan Antai's 50-acre plant site, this blue-and-white production line centered around the Haoxing 1800-model crusher has become the absolute mainstay:

  • Feeding end: A grapple loads mixed scrap metals onto a heavy-duty plate chain conveyor, which delivers material into the crusher at a controlled, uniform rate.

  • Crushing core: Material entering the 1800-model crusher chamber is quickly torn, compressed, and broken into chunks or briquettes by the high-torque large-diameter rotor and special alloy hammers. The equipment's intelligent hydraulic control system detects non-crushable items (such as occasional solid iron blocks or thick shafts) and reverses to discharge them, preventing stalling and damage.

  • Conveying and sorting: Crushed material is transferred via a fully enclosed heavy-duty tube chain conveyor – without any dust leakage – to downstream magnetic drums and eddy current separators, which sequentially separate ferrous metals (steel), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper), and a small amount of plastic/rubber.

  • Environmental protection and finished product: A large pulse baghouse dust collector maintains negative pressure at all dust generation points, with emissions far below national standards. The final crushed material is clean, dense, and loaded directly onto trucks via belt conveyor for sale.
